For those in the know, what parts does it take to swap a '72 Abody variable three speed wiper motor into my '69 where this 2 speed resides, and have it work like it's supposed to?

Can't happen? Can-O-Worms? Easy peasy?

TIA

I would get the complete assembly.........wiper motor, transmission, wiper switch, and the wiring harness from the switch down to where it connects to the main harness and the one from the motor to the firewall harness. You still might have to splice it in to your '69 harness.

I have a lead on the motor/trans, but not the rest.
Is the variable switch for it available anywhere?
It looks like there's a different crank arm link between the trans and wiper arm needed as well.

The wiper transmission links went from brass bushings in 1969 to plastic sockets in 1972, so, you'll need the whole transmission assembly.

Actually, I think they were plastic in 1969 too, just a different type.

The items highlighted aren't what is needed to make the mechanical swap?

The '72 wiper motors were 3 speed, whereas the '69-71 had a variable speed motor. Both came with the wiring pigtail attached to the motor, but, I'm not sure if you can swap them without modifying something. I'd get the '69-71 variable setup if it were me. That way you should be able to use your existing wiper transmission. You should be able to just plug the wiper pigtail right into your firewall plug too.

Believe they are correct on the crank arm, my '69 Dart had a three speed motor with the harness going over to the firewall. The motor shaft wouldn't mate with the crank arm. I got a 2 speed motor and switch for a replacement, problem solved. Got rod of the motor, still have the 3 speed switch.

3 speed and variable speed motors are the same . There are later 3 speed motors with different parks though IIRC.
