5 years but I was friends with her cousin and got invited along for fishing trips and such so that’s how. Ya when dad passed me and sister talked about mom moving in with one of us but decided a personal care home was answer. The home almost within walking distance. So visits were daily. Mom has since passed too. Tuff road those adult decisions
Unfortunately we all have to go through it when parents get older and can't look after themselves. You do what you think is best is all you can do. Sorry for your loss Ahoey
