I’ve used the search function and I still don’t get it..

I want this air cleaner on my 318 not to deceive anyone but I like the period look.

Questions:

Is this a 340 air cleaner and was in only avail on 71-72 340?

is there something without a snorkel that looks mighty close to this?

Why does it cost $600 bucks?

Will it fit on my edelbrock avs carb?

Does anyone repop it?

where is best place to get a
Nice one?

Thanks for the history lesson

Only available on 70-71 340's. They are hard to find cause everyone pitched them for chrome back in the day.

Don't worry, 1970 was 50 years ago...

It's only worth what the buyer is willing to pay

Yes

Make an offer; But if I sell it, what is the 340 under it worth? You see how that works?

Thank you.
The post to end all posts regarding ambiguity of the 340 air cleaner. I now consider myself a journeyman. So the way i see it is...pay up or go home. I can live with that.

As said above, 70-71 340 only air cleaners for A and E body cars, and maybe 71 B body cars with 340....but I'm not sure. There used to be a fiberglass repop, but from what I remember they were junk. I have figured out a way to make 70-71 340 air cleaner clones....but haven't had time to fool with it. I need to get on that! lol. Those are running neck and neck with LD340 intakes in the price race! I hope you find one at a reasonable price.

I'd use a 68-69 unsilenced air cleaner that came on HP engines. They were reproduced for years. Yes, both fit AVS carbs.

F'n-A you do! Patent it, market it. Infomercial it, We can get the sham wow guy.

Yes, Nice clean and uses the standard MOPAR air filter.

yeah this might work. If you know off hand, Is it the same thickness to clear the hood on a 72 Dart? And will the 340 sticker used on the 340 air cleaner fit on top?

Pardon my ignorance. So that sits on top of the lid? Or that is the lid? And i can get that from year one or classic industries?
It sits on top the lid, about any Mopar vendor sells them.
