With covid and everything else going on and as bad as 2020 has sucked a big dick with my moms' passing, last year right at the end tried to jack me up.

I had a major heart attack on 12/27. Had a 98% occlusion in the widowmaker artery and a 90% in a different one. I had some weird sensations before in my chest over the last two months. Especially after my mom passed away. Just though it was stress and most of the time it was after I was doing some strenuous activity. This time the pain did not relent.

Thankfully the hospital staff was on it when they got my EKG and blood works. The ER doc before I went to the cath lab for stents told me had I stayed home, I wouldn't be around the next day.

Now I have even more life changing scenarios to deal with! LOL

Thanks to those that knew about it when it went down with the good wishes and prayers.

If you have chest pain, go to the hospital, don't ignore it... Being stubborn is not the right choice, DAMHIK!!!!

Appreciate the community and hope that 2021 is a prosperous year for everyone.

Been there and done that, no fun.
With me it was arm pain, both arms, never had any chest pain.
Glad to here you are doing good.
You're lucky, you getting a second chance alot of us dont.
Stay safe

Get well wishes as we know when your sick it makes life hard. Get well soon!
It's tough not being well and hopefully your road to good health will be short.

A lifelong friend of mine had some chest pains 1 1/2 years ago. He thought it was from a bad burrito. Nevertheless he went to have it checked out and a day later he was having triple bypass surgery. His widow maker artery was 85% blocked. In hindsight he could piece together the warning signs that had slowly showed up over the previous 7 years. He’s doing great today at 68 years old.
It’s great that you didn’t just ignore the pain and that you trusted the medical staff. You will be around on FABO for a number of years yet. Stick with the recovery regimen and physical therapy.
Happy NEW YOU Year!

Dang man. Here's to a complete recovery for you and a better 2021!

My best friend died two months ago, he had been feeling poorly for a couple of weeks and had quit eating, but being a what will be will be kinda guy he didn't do anything about it. He sat down to watch a Bears game and his wife came down to the basement and put a blanket on him because he said he was cold, an hour later his daughter came down and it was too late. He died of sepsis, which after the autopsy it was determined it was his gall bladder had shut down, if he would have just gone in he would still be with us. Then yesterday my boss at the last place I worked died of a heart attack. He was always in good shape and always had a container of water with him wherever he went. Both were in their early 60's, glad you made it through!

Damn man glad to hear you were given a second chance. I can second your vote on NOT ignoring chest pain! I too had a Major heart attack on 7/30/20.
GET LOOKED AT WHEN YOU HAVE CHEST PAIN!!

Damn Rob!! Glad you made it through. Take care of yourself and get better soon.

What's the recover period for something like that anyway?

!GEEZ! Take care of yourself Rob we need you 'round here!!

Get well soon!! Sounds like you did what a lot of guys are too proud (read: stupid) to do...take action when you felt something. Keep listening to the docs and you'll be up and going in no time.

Glad you caught it in time.
4/29/2020 went to er thinking I had pneumonia. Widowmaker blockage of 90% and blockage of the vertical artery that feeds it. They ballooned both arteries and put a stent in the Widowmaker. The thing that helped me the most in the recovery has been the 36 sessions of physical therapy.

Have a happy New Year everybody.

Damn, good to hear you got to the hospital in time and they were able to fix you up. You probably feel better already. If you can, get signed up for cardiac rehab. I had a good program after my OHS.
