Im not cheap but I hoard parts. Its really paid off, especially with my E body cuda im getting ready to restore. Probably couldnt or wouldnt afford to at prices these days. I have been buying parts for it for close to 20 years.
The main problem with buying parts over a long period is that you end up buying the same crap twice. I have so many parts that I bought because I forgot I had already bought them.
