Thanks for asking, DBMS, correct. Symptoms on each side are at different levels of progress. (?) Medulla crosses signals rt. brain, left side of body. You are out for the drilling, and you are brought back far enough that you are talking to the Docs. I remember saying "OOOOoooh!!! that feels nice leave it there ! (they did not :( ) I have been through it for both sides. Got a couple of "Hellboy" bumps and an ID card for each device for TSA screenings. Batteries and control units sit on top of collarbone. Need replacement every 4 years. Looking forward to rechargeable ones. Can't go more than 10 feet underwater as head may leak. They told me no sky diving, either. Photo is of me 2 yrs post-op for the right side 1 yr on the left. We got it in just in time before COVID. ( Rings are to identfy where the probes are centered. )
