6.1 Hemi into 72 Demon March 2018
So today was a benchmark day, interior is actually starting to look like a car! Those of you who keep me on my toes will notice blinker switch is on wrong side. I just got the column stuffed into place while I had worlds best neighbor in shop to help with a spare set of hands and a fair amount of heckling. Plus he drank all my hooch! Hah! On plus side Hemi almost ate him when he strolled in without the customary Hemi greeting! Foot pedals are in place and plumbed. So I disconnected fuel pump power, then made everything else hot. No smoke!!!!!! I just could not resist and just had to bump starter very lightly just to ensure ignition system was as it should be. I am not ready to start it but darn sure getting closer. I have everything plumbed but not tied down or bracketed yet. Quite the Eureka moment to hear the starter engage. Woo Hoo. I wanted to get seat bracketed and installed today but I am old and fat and just plain ran out of poop. I will try and take a video when I actually try and start it. Not sure I am as tech savvy as Fred is when he started the Scamp. Down side of always working alone, not sure I can watch for whatever chaos I may create trying to start it plus video at same time. No guarantees.
