Numbers mean very little on a 50 year old tranny. You wouldn't believe the different stuff put together I find in old automatics. That's why I love taking them apart; to see what some previous mechanic installed. Transmissions are like a box of chocolates...ya never know what you're going to find..Step one= measure end play.
