- Good point he made is the 318 is very close to dimensions as the beloved 5.3 LS, yet most look past the 318
- One thing (and most disagree with me) is I'm a little quicker to pull the trigger on putting 360 heads on a 318. The times I've done it (cutting the heads .040), I've always had noticeable seat-of-the-pants gains
The LS has decades better design then the 318, just like the Gen III Hemi.
No doubt the 318 is one of the best engines to come out of Detroit but the technology in the new engines is hard to beat.
