UTG -The Mighty 318

A 318 is a very solid foundation no one can argue that to compare one to a hemi gen 3 for performance potential is not realistic. There are wedge heads that will support big numbers on a big cubic inch small block Mopar . With a 318 You just can't get enough bore for starters, the biggest difference is block integrity. You can pump up a gen 3 to 1,000 horses no problem. See how long a stock la block will last with those kind of numbers. After dumping 15 grand plus begin to get it there. 600 to 700 horsepower is all I would expect a stock la block to be expected to take.
There have been people on here that make that or higher with an LA or a Magnum. There's a guy on the Dakota R/T with a 4190# truck and a 5.9 Mag with a turbo going 10.51 @130. According to the calculator, that's close to 700, and I'm assuming that's to the tires. Not to mention plenty of guys going way faster than that on stock 360 blocks N/A.
