There have been people on here that make that or higher with an LA or a Magnum. There's a guy on the Dakota R/T with a 4190# truck and a 5.9 Mag with a turbo going 10.51 @130. According to the calculator, that's close to 700, and I'm assuming that's to the tires. Not to mention plenty of guys going way faster than that on stock 360 blocks N/A.
If you're making 700 horsepower and you can only turn a 10-5 there's quite a bit of room for improvement, and there are gen 3s that are turboed that are doing sub-8s I don't get your point
