I am not qualified to accurately answer that, but I don't see why it wouldn't work fine. Your numbering on the shifter itself will be wrong. Whether up or down shifting manually 1, 2, D or vice versa, I don't see any difference myself. Suppose you could contact B&M or Summit/Jegs, etc and see. All I know is my factory column shift works fine, just ignore the idicator.
