That’s a suck deal. I’ve heard the AAR fiberglass is one of the better places.

They should've wrapped it in a sheet before placing bubble wrap around it. I've seen similar problems years ago with painted parts.

i would be pissed also . here's an idea . take it to a local fiberglass guy maybe he can use it for a mold and make you one and then send it back to the U.S.A. i have done this before with poor quality parts . fiberglass boat builders are the ticket .

I'd hate to think they had a bad one in stock and sent it to a guy in NZ because he probably wouldn't return it.

Can you get a full or partial refund from PayPal or your credit card company?

That really sucks. They should take care of that for you tho. I've bought several fenders, hoods , trunk lids, valances etc from them and fitment or quality was never an issue. Always a very nice, quality product. I would atleast contact them with some pics.

scoop cost 350 usd 70 usd freight so $420 usd = in nz$ 609 freght to nz $275 tax $132 total $1016 our $only worth 69c compared to usd
I bought the 68 replica hemi scoop from stinger aswell and was absolutely perfect. When I received it there was no stanchions in the box so I called and two days later they arrived. I found them very good, give em a shout to see what they will do for you.

I got a hood and scoop from AAR last year and it was 100%. I was extremely happy with AAR.
Compared to another hood that I received from another fibreglass dealer, AAR was heaven sent.

Check out this quality fibreglass (not from AAR) that was sent to me... was not cheap neither. Pic below is the finished corner that meets the fender

Opposite corner at cowl area, hood came out of the mold with a pothole..

No refund and my fault for not unpackaging and inspecting it at the loading doc.. This was a fibreglass nightmare..
