Read what Malex typed again... he did not get the **** hood from AAR

Looks like crap from Showcars...

just unpacked my hemi scoop from AAR fiberglass (stinger fiberglass) and it is a pile of crap bubbles in the gelcoat mounting stud's put in on angles it was the most expensive of them all and i thought the qaulity would be up there but no so what is a good brand to buy this scoop cost me over $1000 nz dollars and took 5 months to get here will never buy anything again from them

ok i got mixed up i thought malex was the op

No I think @Malex is saying AAR was good to him. I believe he initially dealt with a different company with shitty results??

Correct. AAR gave me terrific fibreglass. The garbage that I posted pictures of came from another common Mopar fibreglass guy in the US who actually frequents these sites. To save another war of words I won’t reveal the company. I just wrote it off as getting suckered and it sure tells you lots of the person that would send that garbage out.

that is disgraceful. i would be pissed also . Did you send them some pics? if so and wont refund your money they are not a standup company . send them a link to this thread .

Arguments, pictures, big war on FBBO, I got suckered on the sales pitch. He said it was my fault for not inspecting it at the loading doc and taking it back over the international border, on and on. Like WTF really? Who would send that garbage. Pictures don’t lie and I took and have lots of them. Since that time I’ve come across numerous guys who got similar garbage from the same guy and it’s always that the farther away it gets shipped the factory reject garbage would get sent. That scoop in question sure looked good compared to what I got. Lol.

I got a hood and scoop from AAR last year and it was 100%. I was extremely happy with AAR.
Compared to another hood that I received from another fibreglass dealer, AAR was heaven sent.

Check out this quality fibreglass (not from AAR) that was sent to me... was not cheap neither. Pic below is the finished corner that meets the fender

Top of hood that meets with the windshield cowl and fender...

Opposite corner at cowl area, hood came out of the mold with a pothole..

No refund and my fault for not unpackaging and inspecting it at the loading doc.. This was a fibreglass nightmare..
how could a company send crap like that out

Sled City?????????? He is the guy they use on all the B body sites. IMHO I had one of his scoops decades ago great scoop.
Disclaimer: But I have been wrong before!

Reply from AAR/Stinger Fiberglass:
Here is a little more about the order:
-Total time from order date till item shipped was 12 business days – this includes production time. It was shipped in Sept, 2020.
-Time frame for it to be sent from CA to NZ was out of our control. It was sent to an import/export company by the customer.
-It was sent from FL to the importer in CA for $72
-Price of the scoop is $320
-We have not heard from the customer.
The scoop order was not $1k, it only took us 12 days, and we did not hear from the customer.
Fiberglass Parts may have scratches, dings, small dents and other minor imperfections which are considered normal characteristics due to the materials and nature of the product. These imperfections will be easily corrected during the filling, priming and sanding phase of installation. All fiberglass parts require some sort of preparation and manipulation during the installation process. These parts are finished in a gray gel-coat finish for ease of sanding, priming then painting.
Stinger Fiberglass properly inspects all shipments before leaving our facility. Stinger Fiberglass always recommends professional installation of our products.
All of our parts are made by hand by professionals with many years of experience. We will be glad to discuss any questions or concerns by emailing or calling us.

no i did not ask them being so for away it would taken a while but they thought it was ok to send it out like that but i am happy now
Well he replied so I would think they may offer u some cash back. That is if their a stand up company/business. I’m sure he would like to keep all his customers happy. This is a black mark against them in my book. If they don’t do something to help u he will loose some business for sure. I was gonna order that same scoop from them, but not now. Being I’m in Canada I don’t need the hassle either. Kim
