It’s the same as riding a modern sport bike, or a modern Harley bagger (as an example) vs say an old Triumph Bonneville, Norton, vintage Harley or similar old iron. At cruising speeds and much higher you are really hanging on, vibrations, the sounds, the bare minimum bike under you vs. something modern. If someone has ridden both types they know. I’ve ridden modern sport bikes at 150mph, but doing 100 mph on a vintage motorcycle is definitely more involving and hair raising, and like you say, more fun
