Good idea

My pond freezes over most years, and I know the kids would love to skate on it, but with the snow, it never freezes smoothly

How do you get the water to cover the top again?

We cut several squares about 1'x1' in the ice and bobbed them up and down to force water upl . Leave the square blocks in the square holes and they will refreeze back into the ice. We spread the water out to level and let it freeze over night . The other option is a pump and generator . But we broke the pull string on the generator...

How bout a shout out to the Juniors Team! Sorry my Canadien brethren

Yeah ! I caught the 3rd period after my game last night . That was an upset !
I only caught bits and pieces while swilling some brews with a few team mates . Will have to watch the whole thing this weekend.

That's hockey! You just never know until the 3rd period buzzer goes. Congrats to USA juniors!!
I agree, that’s why we play! In actual fact I think you could argue the North American Juniors program on both sides has become very strong and the parity is unmatched. They could play a game tonight and have totally different outcome. So many of us have played in both Countries, I have life long hockey buddies on both sides of border. I have lived on the border of the two Countries for so long it his frankly hard for me to have any animosity, I root for both and am always thrilled when they play each other.
