One year off the sauce today

indicators are blackouts, acting foolish in public, getting in trouble, lose job, wife leaves failing health etc.
One of the physical indicators near the end of my tenure with ethanol is that it took a long time to sober up. If I drank Saturday, it was Sunday afternoon to reach sobriety. Monday I felt lifeless and inert. But I ignored it until I developed sepsis and my organs started shutting down. Talk about a life changing event. Too bad the body isn't designed to deal with this shenanigans.
