Input shaft - auto or standard crank

Cut a inch off the input shaft and use a ball bearing pilot bearing.
He said the shaft was already cut short.
Another OP that could use punctuation, but that is not what he said. This is the first time he's been in possession of a 4 speed that HASN'T had the input shaft cut, the first one "that he still has" is cut, but not this one.

I agree with the cut (about 5/8") and bearing approach... after he cleans up that spline and shaft surface.
