I still never been to In and Out yet. I know they’ve got the one in Keizer Oregon now, it’s always pretty busy driving by on I5

In n out is great. I used to not really like it, always preferred 5 guys burgers and fries... I mean once you have 5 guys in your mouth you can't put anything else in there... wait. What???

Lol but the wife likes in n out and it has really grown on me. The wait is always a disaster though, thats the worst part about it, much quicker to go in rather than wait in the drive through though.

I'd be all over that! A-body four speed for 75 bucks? Hell, ANY four speed for 75 bucks? That should be in your car hole already!!!!

The transmission is 2hrs away from me, and I have an appointment at the DMV today.

I kind of want to buy the transmission just to buy it and stick it in the side of the garage lol.

I'll pick it up tomorrow. He has a bell housing for it as well, so for 75 bucks and a couple hours of driving I'll have a 4 speed to mess with lol... Im going to end up like Tony before long.

Sweet deal, it’s an addiction. He say what kind of bellhousing it comes with or what it came out of?

He said he thinks its the bell housing for the chrysler 4 speed transmission. He didn't know much about the transmission, said it came in a package deal at an estate sale and that was it. He didn't seem interested to be talking on the phone and answering questions lol.

Also, yes its an addiction... 75 bucks just seems like to good a deal to pass up. These things are selling like hot cakes lately...

Today it's the bargain transmission; tomorrow it's the questionable belvedere priced too good to pass up. In 10 years it's the dealer sign and Direct Connection coffee maker. Yes, next thing you know you're besting Tony.

I've been spending to much time searching for stuff im not allowed to buy. Found the 5.9 block for 100, trans w/ belll housing for 75 and this sport fury for idk what he really wants for it lol... I dont really even want a manual transmission, my auto sure is nice... not having to shift and all...

Tony definitely has me beat though. That man has the garage I only hope to have one day... well I want one with less race cars, but the engines are awesome. He's waiting on some new parts to show up then we can button up one of the engines and start on his most prized engine next. I think his daughter gave me permission to help work on it, or at least she hasn't kicked me out yet... in my short 10yrs of being married thats a win in my book...

Dmv sucked... but I got some gas and got to take lil Rose out for a ride. She loves going for rides.

I suck at this... and it wasn't to bright out in the afternoon when I was trying to do it.

The "tree" shaped burr was the one that jumped and kept catching to fling it around; it was the hardest to use IMO. Especially in the corner area where the flat head is pointed.

I think I need to not hold it as lite against the casting as I was, I think I should press on the casting in the port with a touch more force.

Its a good day... Donuts this morning. Sams club in the afternoon. Leak some more fluid in the driveway so I can work on my cylinder heads..

All those sharp lines showing your passes with the burr wouldn't be visible if you were using paper rolls ;)

Slow the burr down if it catches and jumps. High speed is nice for taking small bites, but it can get farther out of control and more quickly.

Pushing harder will make it jump more, but a firmer grip can prevent it jumping as far.. Catch 22.

Burrs are made to cut a certain depth with each pass of the edge, especially carbide. That depth is the "bite" that will try and make the cutter jump. Finer burrs help reduce the bite and jumps. This is why I almost always went back to paper rolls and stones - they're easier to control. Fine burrs are nice to have though.

Well... the stones are much easier to control... and don't take off as much, don't jump or catch, and don't snap/bend like these. After using the burrs today I used my drill and stones after to smooth as much as I could out... the harbor freight die grinder is only 1 speed... maybe I should get a dremel or the variable speed hanging grinder, that would probably work better...

I can't reach a couple

Or pay 130 to have new valve seats cut and 250ish to have the x heads ported by the shop... probably much easier and quicker lol.

Wow, i have never broken a burr.
But my grinders are air powered, and i feather the throttle. I have had them jump around,as soon as it happens, it tears up the area you are cutting and gives it more bite, making it even more difficult. i dont have the nerve to carve up a set of heads. I give you credit for that.

I actually liked using my pneumatic grinder... but I was out of air in like 4 minutes lol... so it was uneventful.
