A Mother superior and a young nun are out on shopping errands in the village riding their bicycles.

As the day progresses into evening, they are nearly complete on the errands.

While the sun is setting and the sky is getting darker, they wind their way through the back alleys of the old village where criminals are rumored to lurk after dark as they take a different route back to the Convent.

With the light fading, the Mother notices the young nun’s nervousness and asks what is wrong.

The young nun steels herself and replies, “Well Mother, it’s just that this is a different way and I have never come this way before.”

The Mother smiles and says “Oh, don’t worry my dear....it’s just the cobblestones.”
