Online selling etiquette

I had a indecent on some PS brackets that a member commited to on January 3. Asked for price I agreed asked for my pay pal then next day said he ran out of time and would send it the next day. Then nothing crickets. Nothing for 6 days. So today I sold them to another member.
Hey but that's ok. This is the way I do business. If you commit, I will wait for a reasonable amount time.

I go with whomever contacted me first, then work down the line if the first guy passes. Sometimes it’s frustrating. I may have to wait a couple of days for a guy to get back to me. Some ppl say they will take it then are not on line for a few days. That makes me think that they are not really interested. Just last weekend 2 guys wanted the same part. No one p/p me. I tell another guy on Thursday he can buy it. Well dam, I get up Friday morning and have pay pal from the first 2 guys. I refunded their money. 3rd guy got it as he paid right away. Kim

I put some stuff up for sale, it's a bunch of items that all work together, so selling it as a lot.

Put the stuff up last night before going to bed.

This morning I have three responses.

First guy: interested, send me a pm, I'd like to come see what you got.

Second guy: I'm interested also.

Third guy: I'll take it all, I can be there this afternoon, when can I come, my number is ***

Typically I would respond to the the first one who responded to my ad. This time I replied to the third guy cause he was the first to just say "I'll take it all, when can I come".
Did I do right? Or would you have responded to the first guy first.

Just curious

The first one with the money on your doorstep gets the Winner Winner Chicken Dinner.
If it's here on the forum, I go with who responded first.
Unfortunately nobody responded for MONTHS when I was giving away some 1991 truck 360 manifolds that I bead blasted, so they went in the trash.

You only had one guy say that he would take it at your price, he's first in line...
Saying you are interested says you might get in line later.

This is an interesting bunch of responses, and none of them are wrong. I find FABO and FBBO folks are of far higher quality than what I get on CL. As a courtesy to forum members, I go with the first to respond and if there are others in line who are hot to trot I let the first guy know I need an answer in a day or two. Then I either sell to guy one or move on to guy two. Lather, rinse, repeat. So far I've only had one lousy experience buying or selling on FABO. And that was with our world famous flake member who will gladly pay you Tuesday for a hamburger today.
