OK, gonna be looking at a lot of late nights and weekend rampages in the garage, and under The Duke coming up once the weather breaks. The best way to get inspired is to turn on some great car tunes (as opposed to cartoons). Bruce Springsteen's "Born To Run" is always a really inspirational CD, but it doesn't last long. As we all know, wrenching tunes are very different from cruising tunes. Wrenching tunes need to be about bad-*** cars. I need some suggestions for knuckle-busting vibes to get me revved up for what I hope will prove to be a record season for The Duke...and me...and counting on you guys to steer me in the right direction on some inspirational toonz. Let 'em rip. Oh, and I like my tunes like I like my cars...from the sixties and seventies mostly.

"Joe's Garage"- Frank Zappa
"On Your Feet or On your Knees"- Blue Oyster Cult live

I normally have the local classic rock station playing.
But about anything from Molly Hatchet is good tunes.

I used to listen to Pantera but found tools tended to take flight once I was full of rage! Have several Pandora stations I created that I listen to now

I have 7 days worth of music stored on my phone, all stuff i enjoy.hit shuffle and get to work. I also have satellite radio in shop, and a bigass stero, i can hear it even if im grinding if i want.

That's what I usually do, plug in my phone and let it go on shuffle, have 600 tracks and 8 speakers plus a subwoofer in my garage, I can easily annoy the neighbors if I want. Lol

Yup, this is me too, but more like 16,000 tunes on the phone and only 6 speakers (two of which are subs). I can annoy my neighbors by just breathing but doing so with music is a grand idea.

I am a sucker for Motown on Pandora..... When I am in the shop (which is never anymore lol) I like to slow down.

I tend to listen to classic country, everything from Hank Sr. to George Strait. Nowadays we have some good genuine modern country musicians, like Colter Wall, Cody Jinks. But, for a car specific song, I like Johnny Cash's "One Piece at a Time" and of course, this one (not country).

Several Audioslave songs come to mind, "Gasoline," "Getaway Car," and "I Am the Highway"

Beach Boys and Jan and Dean, especially their car songs. Little Old Lady from Pasadena, other car songs from the 50s and 60s, Hot Rod Lincoln is a great motivator. A newer one I like is "Radar Love". I could never listen to that song while I was driving, the gas pedal would just sink to the floor with out me realizing it, lol.

Joe Walsh-You can't argue with a sick mind (live album)
Single- By Ronnie Montrose and Sammy Hagar before he was somebody- Bad motor scooter
