I have a quite a few electrical problems going on right now but I will start with the most important atm! I have no power to the coil. Its a 75 dodge dart im using the factory stock 5 pin ecu I checked the wires going in the ecu and I have juice there but nothing at the coil. I have crankage the engine turns over. I'm thinking ground but I can't seem to figure out where the bad ground will be.

Do you have power on both ends of the ballast? I believe in your photo (not sure) that the two on the outboard end are jumpered together. That end is 12V coming into the ballast. One section ends up at the coil + and the other goes to the ECU. All 4 pins should show some voltage with key in "run"

ECU for sure needs grounded but that will not block +12 to coil

I just checked ballast I have power on both sides but only 10 volts

Ok redid all my grounds sanded the back of the ecu and my fender and did the same at the rad support ground. Now I'm getting volts at the coil. I only get voltage if I test the positive side and the negative on a known ground like the battery post or bolt. If I check the positive and negative on the coil I get nothing is that normal?

Trace/outline the ecu with a pencil then remove and lightly sand to bare metal. Hate to see you scratch the **** outta that nice new paint.
Good luck!

Take a little more paint off, get the thing shiny metal; sand the back of ecu too looks old, you need fresh metal. Also, check ground from motor to chassis.
I did sand the back of the ecu really good and I took all my grounds off and sanded them and tightened them down. I'm setting here reading my fsm trying to figure this out I have a bunch of electrical issues . I think most of it is me not knowing wtf I'm doing! I hate electrical i suck at it in an absolute retard when it comes to wiring. I have tried to learn I just don't get it. I have voltage now when I check the positive side with a known ground like the battery post. But not when I check both sides of the coil pos to post neg to neg! Is that normal?

Remember the ballast resistor is supposed to drop the voltage. So it will be less at the coil like 9 volts or something. Also don't crank the motor too much until you're ready to fire it up...

And I know we've talked about this before but make sure you throw a good healthy splash of gas down the carb and put the air filter back on in case you get a pop back...
