There have been several threads created about discontent with PayPal..
Bad enough when it was joined with Ebag, causing complications with disputes.
Now I learned PayPal is owned entirely by CHINA. I REALLY don't want China getting 4.47% of MY money.

Question now is, which online Pay platform do you use ??? there are over 15 to choose from.
I don't want to loose the ability to purchase from my FABO brethren.. Idea's ??

Does Western Union have online payments?

The only consistency across the board is Paypal. Most vendors let you use it as well, vs giving them a credit card for some disgruntled employee to borrow when they leave the company (happened to me with a sponsor here 4 years ago!). I have been using Paypal since it started and have had ZERO issues with it, other than them giving a guy in Australia his money back because he wasn't happy with what he agreed to buy. Other than that, flawless quick buy/sell transactions with members here, me sending out billing for aircraft parts all over the world, etc.. I'd sooner give them 3.4% than Visa or Mastercard screwing me for 10% on sales!

If you look all the way at the bottom of the WU page it says China is one if it's excluded countries. That could be a good thing.

Nevermind.....that was excluding something different.

Argh, Paypal is like the government, hard to work (this type of stuff) without it but it'll cost ya. For the pain it has caused me (it was actually an Ebay breech, but Paypal said pound sand... go after Ebay) , It has also made me 20X that in revenue. Walmarts are everywhere. They have a money transfer system that works pretty good if your transaction needs to be done ASAP. Walk in, tell them the Walmart center it will be picked up at and who's gonna pick it up and amount. I think up to $75 is like 4 bucks? Wife uses Venmo to pay our guitar teacher. Postal money orders are pretty safe too but snail mail slow and there is always..." the money is in the mail" story a week later.

My buddy uses Venmo says he likes it. Wikipedia says PayPal is an American company

Well, it was started by Elon Musk something like 20 yrs ago..
My understanding is china has been buying up shares, and they bagged up the last 30% last week.

It was started by 4 people and Musk was one of them. I didn’t think about the stock market shares China owns all sorts of things, Unfortunately.

Venmo cashapp and chime are the 3 i use now. I'm not sure if you can send money with chime to individuals but I really like chime its become my primary banking account. Cashapp is pretty easy too its about like PayPal

Thanks for setting me straight... yes, unfortunately.
I may have to either cash out ever 2 weeks (PayPal), or just migrate to Venmo..

This i didn't know! Looks like he sold the company to eBay for a few billion in 2003 thats crazy I never knew that. He also funded tesla the same year. Crazy to think how rich that guy is. He is worth like 125 billion now. What would you ever do with that amount of money?

No kidding!
I think that's where the saying came from... "if I has his money, I'd burn mine.."

I heard on the radio today (we all know how reliable that is!) that musk is now richer than the amazon guy, 187b to 185, on the strength of tesla share price.
What can you buy with 100b that you cant get for 10?

What about transferwise? Is that any good?
Miszny told me there is a fee of 67 cent for a transfer.
Me as a German, its hard to order in the USA and paying with Paypal. Easy and fast, but now i found out whats the price...
Paypal uses exchange course they want, and extreme fees.
I should pay 2440€....but they took 2600 from me.
Thas 160€, or 200$ just for them!!!
Never again!

i don't know.. not sure how many gives the buyer protection like paypal does.. you have zelle too but its bank account to bank account.. not sure you'll have the protection that paypal offers... would be hard to use anything other then paypal with someone i don't know..

I'm not sure, but I can guarantee you the Dart wouldn't take very long to get done lol

On the side note, that's good to know about Paypal. I've used them in years past with no issues, but I agree with you on trying not to use them now.

I have used Venmo and I like it for transactions between friends and family, for like dinner and stuff like that. I've used it when buying and selling musical equipment if I can't meet with the buyer. Never any issues so far.
