First, the front view before new inner fenders and front frame repair. The middle, with full AMD floor replace, frame ties and rocker repair. Next, the rear before all new AMD quarters, trunk and tail panel metal replaced. Lastly, the poly gold base coat and clear it was born with. Finally, the fun part begins. Oh yeah, I bought new 70-71 AMD front fenders and changed the marker light for 72. The car is totally rust free now. Hopefully it won't take another 4 years to finish. It's a retirement project to keep me out of some trouble. Just work on it when in the mood. Special thanks to a (previous body man) neighbor, I suck at welding sheet metal. Can't lie!

Yeah, the black vinyl top goes back on, the factory J54 scoop with the V21 hood treatment and the V6X,V8X stripes all black. Black and gold always was a good combination. I've got a factory go-wing but isn't on the fender tag but heard that it was sometimes a dealer option. That will go on as well. Should be a looker.

nice options. A/C car? Buckets?

Does the coded for 72 J54 hood scoop get holes cut in hood?

Or is that just a 71 deal?

It has the D2X9 Vinyl Bench black seat on the fender tag but the buckets are going in. When I got the car there were 71 seats in it. Someone made it a drag car at some point and took out the 4-speed for a 727. The A833 is going back in without the consol. Could't find a good 72 hood so it has a 71 hood with the earlier hinges. The hood that I got with it was also a 71 but where the hood attaches to the hinges it was roached. I cut 2-4" holes for the scoop and used the scoop for a template.

nice !!!

That year has good looking original buckets too.

... ok a 4spd car with J54 and all the stripes. Now making sense why you did all the metal work

When I was dating my wife (back in 1994), my DD was a '70 Duster. She told me she saw the most beautiful Duster in the world! When she described it to me, I realized immediately she saw a Demon. Since then, she has always loved the Demon (I've owned 2).
