The only reason my Demon has a small block, instead of a big block is I got a smoking deal on an iron headed 408 stroker. My original plans were to put a stroked RB in the car. The small block came up at an opportune time, & the rest as they say is "history". Now I building a 416 copy of a Hensley engine, all I had to do was find another early 360 block to go 4.060 & turn the rod journals on the crank .010 because of a rod bearing. I got all of the reciprocating components relatively inexpensively, including 2 extra sets of aluminum rods, 2 sets of push rods & an extra intake that I port matched to my aluminum heads.
