I’m shattered emotionally....

Oh, like you are Jesus and never make mistakes .....what's wrong with you? Go tie your best friend up and see what happens

Naw, that's you and yellow rose. lol

Get a cat. It works.

Since our boy cat, Jeffrey passed about six months ago, our other cat, Gracie has become quite the spoiled little *****. Don't get me wrong I love her to death. She's always been a biter, usually just if we're playing. But anymore she'll start getting bitey if I don't feed her on time, or on her time. And when she's sleeping on my office chair in front of the computer, you do not want to try to move her, she gets really pissed and sometimes even hisses at me if I'm trying to kick her out of her favorite spot. Like this morning. For the most part she's very lovey dovey, and is always sitting by my side or on my lap, and loves rubbing her face all over mine and giving me head bonks. Total spoiled rotten daddy's girl.

Pretty cat. Normally, when cats bite, it's a show of affection. Rarely will a good cat attack full force. We play with ours all the time scratching them on the tummy and letting them attack our hands. They enjoy playing. They draw blood on me all the time, but it's tiny little pin pricks. As tough as my hands are through all the years of workin on cars, they caint hurt me anyway. Not to mention, I enjoy it as much as they do.

She is a big licker too, she will lick my hands or arms for several minutes, and then start nibbling on me. She's done it since she was a little kitten.

Baby Pink Nose bathes my arm all the time. That's a big show of affection for cats. They are unique animals for sure. People that don't have them are missin out.

I tried to bite my tongue. But I have to say I love cats too. They taste like chicken! Every cat I've tried to be nice to turn around and bite the **** out of me. And it isn't no love bites. They hammer down on my hand. Litter boxes and cat hair everywhere. Jumping up on your counters after walking thru **** litter. No I love dogs.

And dogs lick your face after they lick their butt......but I love dogs too.

I’m not looking for sympathy but rather strategies to cope with a major loss
Well I got to thinking about this. I feel bad for chastising you, but you struck a nerve. Anyway, you are trying to help animals and doing what you feel is right and good. More power to you. A couple prudent changes in your methodology and you should have no worries. Cheers sir.

.. I am no cat person. They are one of the most cruel and destructive animals known to man. cuddly, comical and soft to the unsuspecting. My wife loves them so I have had to live with a box of cat **** in our house for 40 years.aarrgghh!

Not a cat person either, allergic to them, my mother had a cat for about 16 years, it bit her hand once and the resulting infection damn near killed her. As for the box of cat ****, yeah no thanks, we've had more than enough trouble with the little bastards shitting in our flower beds and gardens.
:elmer::mob:

They've got that attitude because they're God's perfect killing machine, but they only weigh 10 pounds and we pick them up and carry them everywhere.

6000 years ago, the Egyptians worshipped cats, and cats never forgot that

we live rural now but did live in a subdivision at one time and we had a female cat. After about 3 years my wifes' flower gardens wouldn't grow anything and were filled with the neighbourhood cats urine and fecies
We had to constantly clean our basement windows and doors from the Toms marking their territory. And does it stink!
Don't even get me going about them killing the bluebirds.

My sister in law once had a real problem with a neighbor's cat shitting in her flowers, she mixed up some tuna with a bit of ex lax, and left it out for the cat. That cat never came back, she heard from the neighbor about it having a nasty bout of diarrhea. LOL

Funny how it takes a law suit to think it's time to do something about the dog. In my opinion, not only the owner but the shelter should be liable for release of vicious animals.

True. The shelter said not good with other dogs when they should aggressive. The law suit was the final straw. I could hardly bear the thought of losing her. Personally I accept full responsibility

I love dogs, and like cats.
As much as i cared about my dog i instructed my neighbours that if the dog got loose and caused trouble, i would never hold it against them if they dispatched the dog. But she was a 90 lb lap dog. Harmless.
If a dog cannot be trusted, then owner needs to take every precaution to prevent incident. Dogs get loose, but dilligence would keep it to a minimum.
I had to put my lab down, old age and health issues warranted it. We all miss her, which is fine.

now if that same dog, like some people, turned out to be an asshole, i wouldnt be too shook up if it had to be put down.

My Dad used to tell us that a dog's mouth was sterile. I think we believed him too! LOL, Dad.
I don’t know what to think about that
I had a border which I was told that they are prone to licking animal wounds
My dog used to lick extensively any wound I had and debride it as well
I would almost swear that it helped never got an infectiom
