Hes running a "garage" out of a rental storage unit, working on shitbag cars and making money off youtube videos
Yep. Garage, okay.
Storage unit...hmmm how the fk do you work on anything there. Lol rules, no outlets, water, 220. That was a cheap movie set and anything that came out was a ticking time bomb.

My brother in law made 75-80K a year doin mechanic workout of a storage unit. I know people who do it. Certainly not optimal, but it gets the job done.

He is more a youtube personality than a wealth of knowledge or expert.
I guess some think they need to hear it from a stereotype character.
I just have a hard time stomaching videos because he says a lot of **** everyone should know by now. Some people even treat him like an aficionado, then he gets a bunch of stuff wrong and doesn't have the correct reasoning/fact behind it...then the 318 vid where he put the wrong size bearings in..put it together dirty, switched blocks somewhere in between claiming the dudes first block wasnt good 'when it was a better starting point' gave dude that dirty block...blamed him...blamed the lifters...
Lied in the comments....and all fishies ate his poop like candy and bought it.

I wonder how many of those dim wonders are on this site ..lmao

I know too much about it. Its lame.Sorry.
I can see what you're saying and I'm certainly not trying to argue with you and I agree with you on the idea that he is a YouTube personality.

But I still think he is useful, he keeps the enthusiasm alive and keeps people motivated to not give up on old cars like ME.

I daily drive a 68 dart that was put together from a shell and it's my only transportation I don't have a newer car. My parents fought me when I wanted to daily an old car without a newer fall back.
It hasn't been easy because it's always something because these cars are 50 years old. The slant six has been very reliable but there have been times I've thought of giving up and getting a new car. My parents even offered to get me a new challenger tomorrow if I **** can the old dart and all the other old cars I have. But when I see good youtube channels with like minded people and uncle Tony daily driving his old cars, It makes me feel like I can NEVER give up.

if I could make $70-100K doing that , I'd do it too! Some of these youtubers are F'n very well off, ie Cleetus Macfarland (2.37M subs) , Vehicle Virgins (2.2M subs for this guy? ), etc. Every vid is a new car and the subscribers and ad revenue just keep racking up.

Why does the guy have to be **** on every time his name comes up? He's a Mopar guy through and through. What's wrong with that? So he makes money on youtube. So what? He's not afraid to throw it out there, success or failure. How many of us are doin that? I don't agree with everything he says or does by a long shot, but damn guys, what'd he ever do to yall?

He's up 16 yay to 2 neigh on this post alone. Not everyone hates him. I had a few PM's with him and he was helpful.

didnt he do the chicken burnout video on here last week?

Simple, and I'm sure I'll ruffle a few feathers... people find it easier to being someone else down than to bring themselves up.

Regardless of what people think he knows or doesn't know, he seems to be doing well at what he's doing. If people are gonna **** talk, then do it better, otherwise leave the guy be.

@Princess Valiant nailed it. He's serving a purpose and doing us ALL a favor by helping those that know NOTHING, learn SOMETHING. Even if it's not quite right by your (not you RRR) opinion.

Here's something... I've never been good with carburetors. First time I watched a video on setting up a holley, it was his. It was very basic and spot on. Rocket science? No, but I didn't know didly. Could I have gotten the info somewhere else, like here? Of course I could have. here's the thing. Now that I know enough to be dangerous with a holley (still learning if you look at my post history), I am looking deeper and getting LOADS of what some might call wrong info. Not from Tony, the info is basic and useful.

Now, as I'm looking to learn how to "fine tune" a holly, I'm getting conflicting info. if I watch a Holley video, they don't even mention transfer slots, that's something I've picked up around here. should I **** talk Holley?

If anyone is triggered by this, well, that's on you and I don't know what to tell you and won't bother trying. I just want to work on cars and learn as much as I can from the experts and novices alike (everyone has something to offer).

Cuda416 has a point. Im not holley friendly, and utg gave me better insight into the holley carb as well as edelbrock.
As far as that three way fiasco, i dont hold tony responsible in any way, there were just too many fingers in that one to keep it organized. Bad parts mixed with wrong parts on a timeline wont work no matter how much you try.
I still like watching. He is a kind man,and does take pleasure in helping others.

I have watched a few of his videos, I'm definitely not an expert on his knowledge base but he has a great passion for mopars and has a lot of general information. He seems a little haywire with his builds and by that I mean low budget, nothing wrong with that it definitely has a marketplace or nich. As far as trash talking Holly's people do it all the time LOL I was at Carter man AKA Edelbrock/thermaquad quad for 30 years but I also like learning new things and now enjoy and learning about my six pack, some people call them fancy garbage other people such as Larry Shepherd major race developer for Chrysler direct connection in it's heyday said it was one of the very best street strip combinations ever designed. To each their own! He should have kept a lot more of those parts he sold as whitepunkonnitro he could have made some better videos.

IMO Larry Shepard is RIGHT! When they are in proper tune and on a good matching combination, they are hard to beat.

I bought some parts from wpon and he always treated me more than fairly and was a pleasure to do business with as I think most will agree. He sure had access to loads of parts, was great with communication and making sure you knew what you were getting before you got it. I kinda miss his parts inventory sales. He could get some hard to find stuff. I also watch his vids every once in a while. He’s very entertaining and not hurting anyone. I admit I do miss his posts here....a lot.

I don't know how old Tony is, but he wrote regular "How to" articles for a magazine WAY back in the day. They were always informative, and easy to understand. He's been there, done that with Mopars forever.

One trick I learned from his videos, is if you flatten 2 cams in a row, you should take the destroyed lifters back to your local parts store and get all your money back! Pro-tip

As I said....entertaining...lol.

And the one thing you've taught me is the type person NOT to be.

Your personal opinion of me is totally irrelevant, but it's hard to believe you condone cheating a local parts store...that says more about your character than mine.

I guess you missed the part where I said I was a long shot from agreeing with him on everything. Keep twistin it, boy. I bet you voted for Obama twice and Biden as much as you twist things.
