@Princess Valiant nailed it. He's serving a purpose and doing us ALL a favor by helping those that know NOTHING, learn SOMETHING. Even if it's not quite right by your (not you RRR) opinion.

Here's something... I've never been good with carburetors. First time I watched a video on setting up a holley, it was his. It was very basic and spot on. Rocket science? No, but I didn't know didly. Could I have gotten the info somewhere else, like here? Of course I could have. here's the thing. Now that I know enough to be dangerous with a holley (still learning if you look at my post history), I am looking deeper and getting LOADS of what some might call wrong info. Not from Tony, the info is basic and useful.

Now, as I'm looking to learn how to "fine tune" a holly, I'm getting conflicting info. if I watch a Holley video, they don't even mention transfer slots, that's something I've picked up around here. should I **** talk Holley?

If anyone is triggered by this, well, that's on you and I don't know what to tell you and won't bother trying. I just want to work on cars and learn as much as I can from the experts and novices alike (everyone has something to offer).

When i was young...i read a lot of books, went to the junkyards, spoke with old folks...listened to 'stories' took **** apart and rebuilt it...and figured it out.

Without UTG here i am, 42 yrs old on the 21st of this month and i know enough to see through this..

People would all know the same if they obsessed over it a little, bought the magazine, read the book, talked to the old timers at the yards...tried it and believed in themselves. I have had more people hammer on me for what i learn and tried to share...you'd think the goal was to keep people dumb in this hobby, no joke. Guru wannabes never giving the important details..then snidely thanking me when i give up valuable info out of wanting to help like they just came up. Pay attention to the gurus who never ask...and always stay silent during those valuable tid bits that get sprinkled out there. Egos galore.. fearing their actual level of experience will be judged... and it will if you act like an ***, like you've done everything under the sun. There 3 guys on here that are completely un humble blowhards who I'd would slap silly in person they way they come off here. Big names to mopar people too. So we have pretending youtube personas and overblown ego builders who step all over each others threads in order to out do the next...
Coming from me, just a guy in his garage who loves this stuff.. i want to be around and listen to people who really want to share , not people who just wanna brag and suck themselves off.
I'm not speaking of you 2 guys that i quoted, i know you have been here a while, youre good people as far as i can tell. Im speaking for those types who are choosy of the messenger being a book..or experience over time. You can't learn it all from a youtube vid some kooter makes every week. You need to have some experience and fill yourself with some real confidence by accomplishing it yourself.
Ps, i was reminded of some irritating whiners on here in the middle of typing it to i touched on that too. Besides, i read about parents and free cars and some other rooted things...so why not. Lol...oh....and Ill give Tony this...
He is not an asshole in his videos BUT.. he is an asshole in person when it comes to **** going wrong.You can hear him in the one video at the track..and i know one of the guys that was there with him. He blames everyone else. Gives people ****, then when he does THE SAME MISTAKE it's no big and THEN he understands... he is a man child.
