I have a 318 from i believe was a 94 dakota. It has a pan shaped like a 727. The numbers on the pad are PK 5211916922755792. Ive tried looking them up but havent come up with anything. How can i decode them?

Got any pictures? My guess is a a 518 or 46rh. You should be able to see the OD unit near the tailshaft housing.

Somebody will be along and decode that number for you. Give it a little bit. But "whatever it is" is 727 based if it has that pan shape.

Can you post pictures of the numbers, I can't find anything that resembles those numbers on the list...

Is the 47rh a lock up? Iirc the 518 is non lock up. Maybe the convertor input will show a difference.

My factory books show a 94 to 96 Jeep uses this number very close to your number. The year of 94 makes sense.

Take a pic of the entire trans including the electric connector. And the pan. It sure sounds like a 46RH which is a 727 with OD, basically.

Just researched this for a A518/46RH that I have. The number on the rail was too long and did not cross reference. learned that the 1988-1991 46RH had a 2 pin connector. Starting in 1992 they went to a 3 pin adding lock-up solenoid. I think the 46RE started in 1996 (I believe). There may be a VIN on the trans boss other than the pan rail. You can see the raised boss in this pic by the bell housing. Possibly research that at dealer. Hope this helps.
