1971 Demon from France

Regardless of holes, no holes, stick-on, bolt on, whatever that car is sweet and the color and the white top are awesome. Six cylinder with 3 speed and wooden ball is just plain neat. No antenna, so it's radio delete. Good luck with it.

:thankyou:
Yes, radio delete option. No antenna, no speakers and no provision for an autoradio into the dashboard.
Very neat and sleek...
and in the 21st century, no need for a radio. I listen to the music on my phone and bluetooth speaker :D

qu'est-il arrivé à cette voiture?

j'espère que vous en avez profité. (Enjoying it)

Hi guys

I'm 57 y.o, from France and I hope that you will excuse me for my primitive english.

In the 90's, I was a Mopar guy with a 340 'Cuda (in fact an european model : a 340 Barracuda BH23H coupé, assembled in Rotterdam Chrysler International plant, Netherlands).
Now, it's history and I'm on the process to purchase a 1971 Dodge Demon.
It's an european model too, but beginning in 1971, Chrysler cars weren't assembled in Netherlands anymore and came from Hamtramck plant.
So, this Demon has been imported brand new in Belgium in 1971, and is now in France since 2015.
It's a 198ci slant-six, 3 speed on the floor, bucket seats and front disk brakes. Odometer in Km/h.
B2 light blue metallic, black vinyl roof, inside woodgrain trim, no A/C.
It has 67000 kms, in a very good shape and is totally stock (except the engine which has been painted in silver color).

What do you think about this survivor?

François

Clean car and it deserved that beautiful original jack hook I sent. Perfect for a survivor!!

Isn’t google translate great? Some Swedish posts next for our Swedish members?

Bonjour Princess Valiant, oui il s'agit d'une voiture d'exportation (Belgique).
Here's its history and some additional pictures :

Today's picture.
My girlfriend Jessie, and the Demon.
The white Plastidip paint on the roof has been removed (it was damaged). So, back to black.

A very nice day, summer is coming. :)

Her story is simple
Purchased brand new by a belgian lawyer in May 1971, she has been few drove. This guy was out of a serious road accident and didn't want to drive everyday anymore.
Now, he's dead, but his story was told to me by his nephew who learned to drive on this car...
I think this car has been always parked inside and has only 77.000kms on the odometer.
Except for a new matte finish paint (applied by a previous owner) and some detailing and improvement, it's matching.
She has been imported in France by a french guy in 2015 and I'm the third owner.

Now, I have to replace the aftermarket radiator by a 1971 Chrysler one.
I have one, but leaking and waiting for a rebuild.

François
