I believe the year was 1976 my sister and I drove to Portland Oregon to see heart the dreamboat Annie tour my grandfather let us drive like new slant six three on the floor 71 Dodge demon white with black stripes. Damn I wish I could have got my hands on that one. My grandma made him sell it she hated the name LOL

Beach Boys 67/68 somewhere about there. Missed Woodstock because of a friend who said Credence was going to be the only big group playing, and they were coming here soon anyways.. We still don't talk.:mob::mad:

Last concert, Lynyrd Skynyrd in 6/7 years ago, we were suppose to see Allman Bros. the next year, but Greg was sick and canceled at the last minute. Damn I want to see them.

Same here a buddy of mine talked me out of going to the Atlanta Pop festival. I believe was the last concert Hendrix played. Like July 70. The second one in Byron Ga.

Pink Floyd, Three Rivers Stadium around 1988. Swung home between duty stations and my buddies and girlfriend brought me tickets. Thought I might pop positive on my next urinalysis from the base!

Keep in mind most on this thread are of an age when glass was banned from concerts so everybody took the bag with a cork! Leafy like material just got passed down the rows if you were in the seats. How are any of us possibly supposed to remember details like year and location? I remember my Harley being unceremoniously tossed in back of pickup more than once by folks not understanding carburetor side up! Then crawling in on top of it for ride home! Holy smokes what a great thread!

First one was around 1988?? It was The Bullet Boys, Winger and, Cinderella.

Last one was 2014 Alice in Chains.

Night Ranger & Starship. 1985. It was cool because Grace Slick was still with them

About 1975, The Allman Brothers had a house on Orange Terrace In Macon. I used to ride my bike down there since I already knew Gregg and got to know the rest of them. Dickey Betts showed me my first acoustic slide guitar licks and I just kinda took off from there. Anyhoo, I saw Dickey in the Piggly Wiggly in Macon and he told me to come down that Sunday afternoon, that they were puttin on an impromptu front porch practice session/ concert for the neighborhood. It was pretty cool. There were less than 25 people there I would guess, sittin in their front yard...and some across the street in the little park that used to be there. It was a lot of fun. I was ten.

Dicky Betts is some serious talent that just never got recognized.
