So what is the earliest concert you can remember going to

-
Paul McCartney and Wings Concert in Sept 1976 In Vience Italy at St. Marks Square.....
Oh man that is righteous! Me and a buddy bought a round of cheese and some narly bread and a couple of bottles of wine then listened to the music from the four corners of the square and decided we could sleep when we were dead. Stayed up all night and watched the sun rise munching bread sipping wine in St Marks square. One of my best memories of all time. Did you know gondolas are hard to drive if you happen to appropriate one? Just sayin......

I was stationed at Aviano AB just 50 miles up the road...and the tickets were 5 bucks....and there is another story to all that...LOL

Zep, and Yes, - 1970 - Vancouver B.C.

Mind blowing,

- thank you Timothy Leary ! !
You ever read any Leary? I found his stuff tough sledding.

Faces in 1975 just before they broke up. It was in Maryland. I recall a couple guys lit a bowl and were making a cloud. All of the sudden officers descended upon them and hauled them off. Those officers stayed busy that night. I guess that's why I remember it.

Kiss 1978 Magic Moutain Valencia Ca. It was a concert and the filming for Phantom of the Park. I was 15 :)

Theo only thing I remember is it smelled like weed!
The campus police and ‘others‘ wouldn’t even let you smoke a cigarette let alone weed, it was dark in there easy to see the glows

Meat Loaf, 1976 I believe it was (I was 14 and shouldn't have been in Ottawa!.. an hour from home) He fell off the stage in the second song and broke his leg.. "we go home now..." !

Little Feat at the Tower Theater in Philly 1982. A small venue of a few hundred people where the band could hear you when you answered their call for requests no matter where you were sitting.

Ah, the Tower Theatre.
I also saw James Taylor and Bonnie Raitt at the Mann that same Summer. Another great small venue.

Seeing Genesis, the Stones and The Who at Vets stadium were all great Concerts...but not as much fun as the small venues were. Billy Joel at the Spectrum was fun too, but give me the Tower or the Mann anytime.

Kiss in 1976, I was 14 at Kemper Arena in Kansas City. My buddy’s mom took us, sat in her car and read magazines by the dome light until we came out.

Super Jam August 1982 REO Speedwagon, Loverboy, .38 Special, Rainbow, and 707. Tickets were like $15. Donnie Van Zant was in a full leg cast and hopped all over the stage the entire show. Loverboy pretty much stole the whole show though.
I remember going to Kiel and seeing , early 70s Montrose , Humble Pie, Camel and a couple other bands . KSHE radio put it on , tickets were $3.95

Keswick Theatre, Ripleys, Chestnut Cabaret, Empire Rock Club...

Wow, I never knew about the tragedy. Very sad, i checked wikipedia and 3 Caldwell brothers died?
"Cant you see" is one of the most beautiful songs.
I forgot about that. Seen them somewhere around 74? Toy and Troy Caldwell were awesome performers.

Tragic what happened to that family.

The first of many... some a little more fuzzy than others.

Lynyrd Skynyrd - Gimme Back My Bullets Tour
with Montrose and the Outlaws
March 16th 1976
Seattle Center Coliseum $7

I was in 8th grade.
Me and a couple buddies went together, we rode the bus for 20 cents back then.
It was a school night too...

Rossington Collins Band ( bet no one knows them ) July 1980 with special guest Ronin. Still have the ticket stub and the hand bill.

Of coarse I know them !
Gary Rossignon and Allen Collins were the guitar players from L.S.
They were/are pretty famous.

1975, I was 12 went with my mother to see the Bee Gees, only things I remember are the album cover drawing of the naked woman in the glass, and I had extremely bad gas that night, had to hold my farts until we left. LOL

Led Zeppelin, spring of 1969 at the 5000 seat Indianapolis Fairgrounds Coliseum.
The first album, Led Zeppelin I had just begun to chart.
