I’m wanting to get new rear leaf springs for my ‘71 Swinger. I’ve been searching all over this forum and I see most everyone seems pretty happy with Espo springs and I contacted them and they do seem like a reputable company. I’m going to order the 6 leaf ones, what I’m not sure of is to order the 1” or 2” over. I do want some rake and I figure they will settle some. What I need are some pictures with them installed. Thanks

If you want "a little " rake go with +1. I put their stock height 6-leaf on my Barracuda. Raised it to slightly higher than factory.

1" on my 67 Dart. It sits a lot higher than I liked. I figured they would settle after a while. I can't say that they have. Still sits high. Again 1" maximum.

Espo +1, 5 leaf, great ride, 275/60-15 tire
Edit: Sorry I looked at the springs and they are 6 leaf.
I would have sworn that they were 5 leaf

Ok so why does +1 on yours look so different than The other ones. I'd like my Scamp to be more like yours so that I can raise the front end a little to compensate for my low hanging long tube headers. By the way I really like that look you've got going there.

Difference in the wheel well, rim offset and probably tire size. All three I posted only have 14" rims and tires.

Steve all I can tell you is that I replaced a set of clapped out stock springs that had a set of tall after market shackles at the rear with a new set of Espo +1 springs and a set of new stock shackles.

Do you like the 6-leaf? or is it too stiff?
I have 5 leaves on my stock barracuda... should there be 6 on all of them?

I like them. They are somewhat stiff, but not harsh. They "give" enough to not make you just hop over railroad tracks. Definitely doesn't float along like a C-body, lol.

I put the plus 1 on my 67 Dart. Looks good.

I have epso 6 leaf +1, it was to high had to lower 1” to get the rake I wanted. It’s still high it will settle over time. Not a good photo I got stuck in the wet grass could not back up to save my life. Tires just spinning.

The middle dart picture, 1970-72 brownish red dart, you say it has +1 espo springs on it, are they 5 or 6 leaf? I have a '72 dart with 14 inch wheels and the rear leafs are done for and sag like hell, so for the time being i have air shocks on it to get the *** up some and i have it sitting exactly like that car you have pictured and thats how i want it to stay. please let me know.
thanks!

they were only 5 leaf. bought the car from a friend so i know they were espo 5 leaf (got the receipt with the car). the slightest amount weight in the trunk or back seat and the car would sag.. couldn't figure out why (never really looked at the springs closely) until i pulled the springs because i didn't like how high it was and saw they were only 5 leaf. i have since put a set of stock height eaton 383 dart springs on it..

Seems to me the higher you go with skinny tires the sillier it looks
