It appears where the striker is has had some work on my 67 cuda. It has a plate behind the striker. I would like to replace the entire section. I will get pics today. I am in Uniontown Ohio, 44685. Thanks

You don't state what year but AMD sells the replacement panel
 
Dynamic renovation. This is likely easier than changing out the entire piece. I have a pair of these I will be using on my sons car. The metal is a bit thicker than the thin assed OEM stuff they used in that spot. What year cuda? These plates I have shown in pic fit any A body 2 door from 67-76. Their price is $55 per side. Comes with a new nutplate cage, but you reuse your nutplate part that floats inside the cage that the pin attaches to.

What in the monkey **** redneck trailer park kinda bullshit is that LoL!!! I have seen some crazy ****. Even seen the pins adjusted and then welded right to the door jamb. But I have never seen that one. Get a new latch pin, and a repair kit from dynamic restoration. Pop that interior panel off and see how bad it is inside there. Must be a vert with that door wedge in there.
 
Yes it is a vert. I have a lot of deboogering to do. I thought you guys would enjoy that. Lol
