So what is the earliest concert you can remember going to

-
My coolest rock n roll moment.
Was in 89 or 90 ?
I saw Queensryche all original members rehearse in their studio.
I went back stage in 87 when they opened for AC/DC but that was not as cool.

Pink Floyd, Three Rivers Stadium around 1988. Swung home between duty stations and my buddies and girlfriend brought me tickets. Thought I might pop positive on my next urinalysis from the base!
We came back onto the boat from Thailand field excercises and so many guys smoked the "cigarettes" the locals were smoking that the Captain waved all piss tests for a month. I heard many were dipped in 'something'.....

Village People, 1979 or 1980...

Yeah, go ahead and yuk it up....
Dude, I'd go see them today! I had a VP tape in my car and I'd play that when my friends piled in and we cruised. I'd make sure we were at a fresh red and pop it in at 3/4 volume. Ill never forget the first 10 notes of YMCA coming on and everyone in the car ducking out of site and pawing for the tape deck. Funny as hell.....

Bad Company opened for Ted Nugent 1996 was my first concert.

After that
Ac dc ball breaker tour
Bush
Paul Revere and the Raiders
Neil Diamond lol
Neil Young and crazy horse All-State arena
Dr. John
Neil Young Prairie Wind Chicago theater
Mumford and Sons

I saw Foghat twice in a year and didnt even realize it. We were in Tahoe one night after skiing and this band was in "The Losers Lounge" At Harvey's I think. Anyway they are playing "I just want to make love to you" and I stopped and listened for about 3 more unrecognized songs and had to leave, wasn't even a cover charge. I thought it was a house band! Then about 10 months later sis took me to a tiny bar in Westminster, CA called the Bachanal and SOB, There was the same band playing! Then I realized it was Foghat from the bass drum cover, and then they started playing "Slow ride" and instantly I was taken back to 1977, laying on the couch when I was about 10 listening to "Foghat Live" on the record player while my big sister baby sat us kids on card night. There was about 20 people in the bar that night and they still played as hard as ever for us. Unbelievable...

Aerosmith Done with mirrors tour at the Cow Palace around '85 or '86. Almost missed our train back home. A bit freaked out as San Fran was just as scummy back then as it is today.

Gordon Lightfoot, 1975 I believe, as a young pup with Mommy and Daddy at the Auditorium Theatre in Chicago, Il But first solo effort was Asia in 1982 at the long gone Poplar Creek Music Theater outside Chicago. Most recent was Tab Benoit in Charlotte, NC (2018) Uli Jon Roth in Atlanta (2017) Next is Frank Marino come this September (after two rescheduling's due to some strange virus deal

Forgot, around 1975 saw Santana at some coliseum in Richmond Va. somebody else was there too but can’t remember, bad part I was really getting deaf by then. I have tons of the old albums and can’t listen to any no more, hearing aids distort the music so bad, a shame. IMO after 80 the music tapered off big time, occasionally a good one popped up. late 60s mid 70s the high point.

The Cars
Compton Terrace in Phoenix
1979. It was a weekday afternoon/ evening.
I remember sitting in Algebra class next morning with my ears still ringing.
