67 68 69 Barracuda/Cuda

Lots of eye candy in this thread, keep ´em coming guys.

Yeah, nice thread. They have been my favorite since they came out, couldn't afford one then, but I have made up for it. A guy parked a brand new 68, 340s B5, FB, white stripes and interior, in front of the Skelly station I worked in late 67, and left it there all day, for me to stare at. That car made me nuts!

At one time, when I had some room, I had 7 of them.

Most of my pictures, are all 35mm that need to be converted, but my current one is well documented in my photo album below my avatar.

I had a very unusual Formula S, 69 Coupe. It was turquoise, white vinyl top, luggage rack, white interior, totally loaded.

Also had a 69 red FB, 318/4 speed, and built a /6 67 FB for my daughters HS car, and painted it B5.

The nicest one, was my 68 340s, turbine bronze, 4 speed bench car. I have a die cast of that car now.

I got this one in 1978. 273, 2 BBL and Column Auto. First it was turned into a full on Drag Car, 440, 4 speed, 4.86 Dana, Cage, etc. Went 11.50's in 82. Then a 225 went in and that car went 13.47 at 99 MPH. Was featured in High Performance Mopar January 1989. Then kids and work and old age and you know the drill. Now it's half way back to a street car and will have a 360 with 302 swirl port heads, LD4B and the 273 Commando covers and air cleaner. Almost full circle. Here are just a few pictures along the way. And I couldn't help the last picture! That's me in 1975 at Suffolk Raceway, Suffolk VA. 12.8-109MPH '70 Challenger T/A. Panther Pink 4 speed! MAN I miss that car. Sold it for the down payment on the house! Dig those pants, CONVERSE tennis shoes and Chicago Bears Jersey! Every penny I had was in the car.

Was at a car show this weekend and ran into a gentleman from Sarnia Ontario, He has 5 Barracudas, 1 rag top and 4 fastbacks. all stock, no wonder I can't find any.

u have ? dont listen to any one . i have a 67 notch back 37K a 68 old granny had white hare down to her feet. she owned cuda . o my 68 she pought new husban died she bought new no one sat in but her seats perfect

Sparky, you realize I am biased but, that's a nice Barracuda!

340? Auto or 4 speed? Original?

340 Formula s numbers match motor. No number on trans. Auto, converted to floor from column. Bought it in 1999. When I got it it was black, black interior. Original white exterior with a green interior. Probably not what I would have picked way back. Have another 340 to put in a as well as Subaru seats, needs a make over. Hope to get he motor in and paint this year but we will see with the covid thingy.

Hello CudaChick hope all is well with you.

Here's mine. Almost done. Finishing seat covers. 1969 fastback. Had a 318/904/ 7.25 rear. Now has a worked 360 ,manual 727 ,and 8 3/4 with 4.10 gears. The grill shells were in terrible shape and I restored them. I sewed my own door panels and seat covers. Put in fenderwell headers with flowmaster mufflers. B and m 60 series chrome box shifter. Stahl and associates cable driven tachometer. The dash assembly was a mess as well so I restored it to my liking. Super stock springs, hemi scoop. Centerline wheels and drag radials for pavement gripping fun. Also put the battery in the trunk.

Hey, @FASTBACK340, does a stock hood close over that 6 Pack setup?

John isn't likely to respond to your question. He sadly passed away three years ago. I have a few pictures he mailed me on one of my powder storage freezers; I'll look to see if there's any shots of his hood. I did a lot of work for him and miss this great man very much.

Hello CudaChick hope all is well with you.

Hi @Sparky!! I could use some more work (first time I've been nearly caught up since way back in 2009) but trying to stay positive. It's sad to say only six jobs have arrived since the election ... during the time of year when there's usually 35-50 here. I sure hope PSC doesn't turn into a part time gig ... :(
