So what is the earliest concert you can remember going to

Concert memories....
In 1981 the Stones were coming to the Silverdome, and it was general admission, and Mail order only tickets. We asked my parents if they would buy us the tickets, and if there was anything we could do to work them off. We cleaned our basement for an entire week (yes, that’s how bad it was), and just before the concert our tickets hadn’t come, but we got a letter in the mail saying we didn’t send enough money to cover the service charge. My parents shot that check out and 2 days before the concert our tickets came.

The show was Nov. 30th, we skipped school and waited in line all day in freezing rain and snow, we were dressed for the weather tho, but when we got in we were all soaking wet. We got good seats but we really wanted main floor, when a couple of young lovers came by and asked if we would be willing to change their main floor tickets for our general admission. Bingo. So we did the old empty wallet trick and went down 2 at a time, then put the tickets in an empty wallet and threw them up to our friends so they could come down.

When all 10 of us were on main floor we squeezed our way to the front of the herd and ended up about 2 rows back. Problem was, were were soaking wet, and had enough clothes on to endure the Iditarod, so it was extremely hot and steamy up there. My brother passed out, and we had to sling his arms over our shoulders and just kept rockin. He came back to life about 15 minutes later and let out a big yell, and we partied the rest of the night. We all went to school the next day with no sleep, and hangovers. It was a great concert, one I’ll never forget!
