Here is a screenshot from Summit. Which intake would you choose of these 2. Don't say Weiand or Edelbrock because I am not putting the money out on this project for a higher priced intake?
Pros and cons of both? Are they virtually the same?

I'd say they're probably close enough that you couldn't tell a difference, but I think I've read people talking about the Professional Products one having core shift issues. Theres a member right now doing a porting thread on the Speedmaster, you might check it out and ask him his thoughts on it.

Neither, no way, take your time and search for a used Weiand or Edelbrock or even an Offenhauser.

Or meister brau vs Milwaukees best..

Both cheap.
I realize that they are both cheap. If you notice I stated that for this build I am not putting a higher priced intake on it. This is a 318 budget build with magnum heads. It's going into a kids Dart. I want him to see that he can have a muscle car without spending a fortune.

Thank you for a reasonable reply... I will check it out.

I have been on the search for months... It is a magnum engine so Weiand and Edelbrock are twice what these two are. Used are usually more expensive in my area than these 2.

Well that explains that. Id get either and port it with help from the threads at your disposal here:thumbsup:

If it’s for a 318 just get a used edelbrock performer. Prob about 100$ local. Oops never mind just saw was for a magnum headed engine.

Depending on how big of hurry you are in. If you wait till black Friday you can get that speed master for 140 bucks. I just bought one this year. Its a good looking intake. Ignore all the haters if you don't have the money you don't have the money period! I understand i too am on a similar budget. I wouldn't be afraid to run the speedmaster

Unfortunately I can't wait... I was leaning towards the Speedmaster, but I saw a Professional Products intake on a friends Chevy and was wondering. Didn't seem bad and he said that it isn't bad. Which is like saying Coke is almost like Pepsi.

Speedmaster does have the word "Speed" in it???????????:poke::rofl::rofl::rofl: MONGO go with that one!!!!!!

could have been a one off, but I put a crosswind on a hot 406 sbc engine one time , and the dist. hole was so far off it wiped the drive gear off. I cleaned everything up and put a victor on it , no problem then------------jfyi
