1966 A/C
My 66 is an original A/C car. Its long gone now but everything is still there except the blower. I replaced the heater core awhile back. I was able to separate the two. Wish I would have taken more pictures, but it wasn't too bad. I pulled the glove box and the front passenger seat. Disconnected the electric plug, and the cables, and vacuum hoses on the right side. I remember a couple of nuts or screws that held the two sides together. Seems like you should be able to remove the heater box without pulling the A/C lines.
