Superstock oil pan for 340

i had that trick Milodon S/S pan on my 71 Duster that had the enginemasters 477 horse pump gas 318 in it.
Fortunately, had a buddy who was an elite welder modify my stock drag link to go through the hole and give me great steering clearance. Street/ strip car
Had it all to do over... would have tossed that pan...

And used what pan? I tested that pan against both the Milodon box pan without a kick out and a Stefs box pan with a full length kick out. The Stef’s pan was garbage but it equaled the SS pan in power. It was a piss poor design. The Milodon box pan was down 16 or 17 HP at 8500. That pan would at least control some oil. The Stefs junker took about 15 hours of fab and welding to get it to stop eating parts, and then is was no better in HP than the SS pan. It was just easier to get on and off in the car.
