so i mounted my reverse indicator light on my dash. coming off my new back up switch harness is 3 connectors. two of them are spliced together. and i have one wire from the light with a stripped end. how does it go together?

this is what i have

833 takes a 2 lead molex connector.

if you stare at the schematic long enough and you squeeze your brain like a lemon. you will figure it out. and then when you do figure it out you will say OH that was simple.

i did have to go to napa and buy a flat spade connector like the ones in your first picture that goes into an empty slot on my firewall connector and then the reverse light plugs into that firewall connector from the inside.

i have very little experience wiring but i know hiw to read the diagrams. you were right, i stared long enough for it to make sense. what is a 2 lead molex connector?

the thing that plugs into your reverse switch on your 4 speed transmission. like the one your holding in your hand in post #4 but it has 2 leads instead of 3 that an automatic trans has.

this end right? the other side is attached to the reverse switch on the trans already

Simple deal really.

It connects On the backup circuit positive feed and grounds to dash usually. Year, make and model would help to get a quick answer!

thanks everyone. i have the 3 ends hooked up to the bulkhead connector. only thing i need is a spade connector for the wire to the lamp and plug it in and its done

let me know if when you get yours working and your ignition key switch is in the accessory position does your reverse light illuminate and your reverse lights on the back of car light up. mine do and i was wondering if that's normal or not.

I know this post is two years old and you probably have your answer by now but yes I believe they do come on when ignition key is in the accessory position. Was looking for a reverse wire harness and saw this thread. Also noticed no answer to your question.
