Yes, Torx points are sharper than Torx +. You can use a torx+ in a torx but because of the shape you have to use one size smaller (usually) and that's why they strip.
Didnt strip,shattered. The bolt would move with a snap, i popped 4 bits.didnt even pull that hard. Maybe 150 foot-lbs.
i think it has something with the anti-sieze they didnt use.
