Well hopefully he’s alright as I believe he is up in age, a seasoned citizen as some say.

Jim has a cabin in northern LA county.....I know he moved out of Rosemead just south of the 10 freeway...

Well I went from the 280/474 mopar cam to the 292/508 mopar cam. And it made a good difference. Not a huge one but stronger throughout the powerband. Also at the same time went from 3.55's to 3.91's. So that also influenced the increase in power. I considered the 484 but realized it was not much more sizable than the 280.

I should give Jim a call. He's a classic California hot rodder from the 60's... knew all the legends (Isky, Vic Edelbrock, Fred Carillo, Mr. Shift, Chet Herbert, The Surfers...the works. When I was out in LA in 2015 he was telling me how he was involved with the straight six Indy engine built by AMC... showed me of one Carillo's rusty old connecting rods laying around his Mom's garage.

I’ll agree with that but would easily argue against half of his suggested cam suggestions. If I was getting serious on a actual race engine, he would be a good guy to talk to if you had any concerns. His thought procession cams (IMO) was to install the most radical cam in a daily driver and back it up with his logic which I don’t agree with.

Hot street engines, race engines, building a bruiser of an engine, yea sure. Daily driver, grocery getter, mileage seeker, just plain old hop ups? No freakin way! Totally unnecessary.
Some guys have been looking for you, too!!!
