Can someone that's a mutual member on an AMC site cross-post this? There's a 1981 AMC Eagle at Liberty U-pull in Liberty, MO. This car is a damn time capsule. I found the original owner's manual, never been opened and insurance policies in the glove box from 1980-83. All the change in the glove box was 1981 and older. The original keys and dealer key fob were in the glove box and the secondaries were in the ignition. I have the keys now...:)

This car is complete and in pretty darn good shape for a car parked since the early 1980's. Straight six with 4 speed, and 4wd. Some A-hole (not me) broke the driver's side window.

I took the owner's manual with all the dealer paperwork, and the keys. They're free to any AMC buff for the shipping. Please pass the word out to try and save what's possible off this car. No rust cancer anywhere on it that I looked. It's a shame they didn't list it for sale!!

I could use those rear red side marker lights if they arent cracked and busted. Car is just too far away from me.

It's in a salvage yard. That means junk title. They won't sell you the car, and even if they did, you ain't gonna tag it. It's going to China via trash compactor so get what you want while you can. I might be going back to the yard this weekend. If I do, I'll see about grabbing those side marker lights.

That would be great. I have a 82 amc spirit and they run the same marker lights.

Our drivers education cars were **** brown AMC Hornets... All 3 were autos and we had one Toyota for a manual. In CA you can buy a salvage title car but no one will insure it at the same rates as a new or used car as they will not give you replacement value on a salvage title. There are the runners parked in front of our pick-a-part yards with prices on them , sold as runners that can be titled but still have salvage titles. When a "gross polluter" is brought into the yard that the state has bribed you to retire, they will drain the oil and pour sodium silicate in the motor and run it until its locked up so no one can buy the smogger motor. They will paint the motor with bright green rattle can so you know the internals are wasted. Stupid policy when the carb or induction system is usually the culprit but you can buy them all day off the smogger motors.
