727 Installed - No Movement in Gears

-
Final resolution: I had the rear servo installed incorrectly. Everything is back together and driving nicely, reverse too!

It actually shifts a little too firm for my liking, but I think I just need to get used to it. Next time I have the pan off, I will add the accumulator spring back in, although I have heard that it won't affect anything, it can't hurt.

Thanks everyone!

I'm glad you were able to find the problem.
I recently rebuilt my transmission and it also was too brutal for me on the 1-2 & 2-3
Shift.
I had put in a billet accumulator with built in blocker rod, A& A transmission told me to replace it with a stock aluminum one with the big spring and no blocker rod to tone down the 1-2 shift.
I did and it's perfect now!
But the 2-3 shift is still harder then I like.
They said to change the flat snap ring I put in the front drum to a wavy one.
I didn't want to pull it back out for that just yet.

Hope that helps.

I have had a similar problem with my 727! No reverse. After pulling the box back out and replacing every seal we could find and putting the box back in , still no reverse. Wr dropped the sumMine is a 1978 727 transmission.p and put a standard valve body in and presto reverse now works. The shift piston in the valve body with the transgo kit is completely different than the standard one so down the track we will put the old shift piston in and try that valve body again. Have any of you guys had this issue with trango kits? Mine is a 1978 727 transmission in a small block.
