Why? You'll likely ADD value by swapping on different FACTORY parts to add safety. The 14" tires and disc brakes will add both stability and much better braking. Besides, 14" tires, wheels and disc brakes were all options in 65. I would do the upgrade. It might just save the little car from having an accident.
