Jegs braided hoses
I recently installed a new fuel cell in my Dart as I went from a plastic one to aluminum, I needed a longer -8 return line to go from my Product Engineering fuel pump to the return fitting on the cell as it was in a different location on the new cell. I called Jegs and ordered a 48 inch -8 braided line. When I started the car for the first time the fitting was leaking by the pump, I loosened it and retightened it and it still leaked. I went to my local speed shop and had a new hose made at double the cost of the Jegs one but it had Russel fittings . I should have just done that in the first place. The shop owner told me the hose and fittings are Chinese knock offs they look just like Russel or Earls but have not manufacturers marking. I installed the new hose and have no leaks. Jegs was good about returning the bad hose for a refund and gave me a tag for shipping back at no cost. The moral is buy the good stuff even if it costs more especially when it comes to a fuel line.
