I live at the bottom of a small hill on top of a large hill.... There's a dry creek in my front yard that runs along the side of my house and will fill up as needed during heavy rains, that runs down the large hill, into the Cal-Sag river, then into the Chicago River....
My creek will be 3/4 full during heavy rain storms, which is only a couple times a year typically...
