360la power increase

10.5-1 is enough on the compression ratio department for a good sized street cam (subjective, I know...) coupled with ported heads (well done units!) w/3 inch exhaust and very high flow mufflers.

Member @IQ52 has demonstrated that even a low ratio engine can make respectable power. His 7.8-1 ratio 440 showed that well. The real key to it all is easy air flow in, easy air flow out. (Combined with a good tune on the carb and distributor....) If all is right and good, 87 octane may very well be not just possible but really good to go, if not preferred.

With ported heads, you can raise the HP level 50, 60 HP without a big cam. The key is getting the valve to lift that high combined with the duration of the cam in the operating rpm you need to be in with your gear, tire size and converter, if a converter applies.

IMO, maximizing what you have would be a cheaper route over the super charged expense and the related costs not in the TorqueStorm kit. And those extras can get a bit pricey.

Pro porting the Edelbrock heads and a new cam, lifter & set is cheaper than the super charged itself. True, it won’t have the power of the rising boost curve of the torque storm, but it will be really close in power if you choose wisely. Just don’t fling parts at the engine.
THINK FIRST.
